A Small Step: There is no Wrong Choice

Week 21: There is no Wrong Choice

ActionParalysis

Decision-making is a muscle. Like any muscle, it grows stronger with use.

Today, practice on small things.

The 10-Second Rule:

For any low-stakes decision today, give yourself 10 seconds max.

  • What to eat? 10 seconds. Choose.
  • What to wear? 10 seconds. Choose.
  • Which route to take? 10 seconds. Choose.
  • Which task to do first? 10 seconds. Choose.

Don't deliberate. Don't optimize. Just pick.

Why this works:

1. Small stakes practice builds big stakes confidence

2. Speed eliminates the mental torture (it's the deliberating that hurts, not the choosing)

3. You learn that most choices don't matter much (Tomorrow you won't remember what you ate today)

4. You build trust in yourself (You handled it. You always do.)

Your assignment:

Make 10 quick decisions today. Time yourself. 10 seconds each, max.

By evening, notice: are any of those decisions still bothering you? Almost certainly not.

Most choices matter far less than we think. Practice remembering that.

Inner Spark Recovery includes decision confidence practices.
