Rest Day: Redefining Success
Next week is the mid-year reset. Reviews. Reflections. Assessments.
Today, before all that: just be.
The exhaustion of constant becoming:
We're always becoming something. Becoming better, fitter, richer, wiser, more successful.
But constant becoming is exhausting. Sometimes you need to just... be. Not improving. Not growing. Not working toward anything.
Just existing. Which, by the way, is enough.
Today's practice:
No goals. No improvement. No striving.
Just notice what is:
- The temperature of the air
- The sounds around you
- The weight of your body
- The rhythm of your breath
You don't have to change any of it. Just notice.
Permission:
Today, you are not a project to be optimized. You are a person to be lived.
Let yourself be. The becoming can wait until tomorrow.
Rest without becoming anything. You're already enough as you are.
When being feels foreign, Inner Spark Recovery helps you remember how.
