A Small Step: Revenge Bedtime Procrastination
The root of revenge bedtime procrastination: you had no time for yourself during the day.
The solution: build that time INTO the day.
Creating daytime "you time":
If your day leaves no space for you, the night seems like the only option. Change the day.
Morning option: Wake 30 minutes early for something YOU want (not obligations)
Midday option: Protect lunch for rest, reading, or a walk—not more work
Evening option: Block 30-60 minutes BEFORE bed for leisure—not AT bedtime
Micro-options: 5-minute breaks throughout the day for something enjoyable
The trade:
Trade 30 minutes of morning sleep for morning freedom, and you'll sleep better at night.
Trade 30 minutes of lunch productivity for lunch enjoyment, and you won't need to "revenge" at midnight.
It feels impossible when your schedule is packed. But something has to give. Better to sacrifice a task than to sacrifice sleep.
Your action:
Block ONE 30-minute slot in tomorrow's daytime. Label it "ME TIME." Protect it like a meeting. Use it for something purely enjoyable.
Stillness Cards can fill your "me time" with peace.
