Rest Day: Broken Heart Season
It's raining (probably). Let it be your permission slip.
Today, rest like the world wants you to.
Rainy day rest:
The world is gray. The ground is wet. Nobody expects you to be productive.
Let the rain be your alibi:
- Cancel non-essential plans
- Stay inside without guilt
- Move slowly without apology
- Rest deeply without explanation
"The rain" is your excuse. Use it. Nobody questions the rain.
What rain-rest looks like:
- Staying in comfortable clothes all day
- Hot drinks whenever you want
- Staring out the window at falling water
- Napping to the sound of rain
- Eating comfort food
- Feeling the feelings the rain brings up
- Just... being. Existing. Nothing more.
Permission:
Today, the rain gives you permission. Rest without guilt. Feel without fixing. Be without doing.
The sun will return. The rain will stop. But today—today is for rest.
Grief Compass Journal accompanies rainy day rest.
