Rest Day: The September Rush
All week, we talked about September rush.
Today, the antidote: deliberate slowness.
Deliberate slow practice:
Not slowing down because you're tired. Slowing down on purpose. As a statement. As medicine.
Do everything 20% slower today:
- Walk slower
- Eat slower
- Talk slower
- Breathe slower
- Respond slower
Notice what happens. Does the world end? Do tasks fail? Or do you just feel... calmer?
The counter-cultural act:
In a world that values speed, slowness is rebellion.
Choosing to move slowly says: "I am not a machine. I will not be rushed. My pace matters."
Your slow assignment:
Pick ONE activity today. Do it deliberately slowly:
- Make tea slowly
- Eat lunch without rushing
- Walk somewhere without hurrying
- Listen without waiting to respond
Notice how it feels to resist the rush.
Inner Spark Recovery celebrates intentional slowness.
