A Small Step: Quiet Quitting

Tomorrow is Monday. Start the week with a radical act.

Leave on time.

The assignment:

If your workday ends at 5:00 PM (or 6:00 PM), leave at that exact minute.

Not 5:10. Not "after I finish this email." At 5:00.

The mental hurdles:

  • "People will judge me." (They are probably thinking about themselves)
  • "I'll look lazy." (You just worked a full day)
  • "The work isn't done." (It never is. There will be more tomorrow.)

The practice:

  1. Set an alarm for 15 minutes BEFORE leaving time.
  2. Start wrapping up. Close tabs. Write tomorrow's list.
  3. When the clock hits the hour: Stand up. Walk away.

Reclaim the boundary between "work time" and "your time."

Inner Spark Recovery supports boundary enforcement.
