What Your Body Knows: Invisible Burnout

Week 9: Invisible Burnout

BodyResilience

Your body tried to tell you. For weeks, maybe months.

But you were too busy pushing through to listen.

Now, let's listen.

Physical signs of invisible burnout:

  • Waking up tired, no matter how much you slept
  • Getting sick more often than usual
  • Tension headaches that won't quit
  • Chronic muscle tightness (especially neck, shoulders, jaw)
  • Digestive issues
  • Heart palpitations or chest tightness
  • Feeling physically heavy, like moving through mud
  • Sugar/caffeine/alcohol cravings increasing
  • Insomnia or sleeping too much
  • Libido disappearing

These aren't random symptoms. They're your nervous system's way of saying: I'm maxed out. I need recovery.

Body scan for burnout:

Right now, close your eyes. Scan from head to toe:

Where is there tightness? Heaviness? Numbness? Pain?

Don't try to fix anything. Just notice.

Say to those areas: "I hear you. I'm sorry I haven't been listening. I'm listening now."

Your body has been keeping score. It knows the truth your mind might still be denying.

When your body is screaming for rest, Inner Spark Recovery can help you respond with care.
