Today's practice is gentle but powerful: a guided visualization to meet your inner child.
Set aside 10-15 minutes. Find a quiet, comfortable place.
The Meeting:
1. Settle in. Close your eyes. Take several slow, deep breaths. Let your body relax.
2. Imagine a safe place. It could be a garden, a beach, a cozy room—anywhere that feels peaceful.
3. See a child approach. Watch as a young version of yourself comes into view. What age are they? What are they wearing? What expression is on their face?
4. Greet them. In your mind, wave gently. Smile. Let them know you're not here to judge or rush them.
5. Ask them. Silently inquire: "What do you need from me? What do you want me to know?"
6. Listen. Don't try to fix or answer. Just receive whatever comes—words, images, feelings.
7. Offer comfort. Imagine hugging them, holding their hand, or simply sitting together. Say: "I'm sorry it was hard. I'm here now. You're safe with me."
8. Say goodbye for now. Promise you'll come back. Watch them walk away or stay in the safe place.
9. Return. Take a deep breath. Wiggle your fingers and toes. Open your eyes.
